ILOCA stereo slide viewer
First, the good parts:
This stereo viewer is quite unusual indeed! In my 30+ years of stereo photography and stereo viewer involvement, I have seen this viewer only a couple of times. Here are some unique features of this viewer:
The big attraction of this viewer is the
high magnification
(it is listed at 10X). I tried to compare it with the red button and must confess that I do not see a great difference.
It is a
compact
,
all metal
(no bakelite or plastics here) viewer with
unusual design
. A welcome addition to any stereo collection.  The all metal construction makes this viewer practically indestructible.
The top cover can be removed to reveal a
metal reflector
(no possibility of bending or melting).
The viewer operates with
two C cells
(one of the reason it is more compact than other 1950s viewers which use size D cells).  It uses standard screw base 2.5V light bulbs.
The viewer offers both
interocular
adjustment (white wheel at top) and
focusing
(white lever on the right side).
The
eyepieces are recessed which cuts off distractions
and increases the realism of viewing, provided that the user does not wear glasses.
There is
no light switch
to press! The light comes on when a slide is inserted in the viewer. If the viewer is placed on a table then the light shuts off, thanks to a little switch which can be seen at the bottom of the viewer.  This is similar to the Life-Like viewer only the system in this viewer is
more reliable
.
This rare viewer was manufactured in

Now, the bad parts:
The focus does not move. It will need to be taken apart to fix?
The light does not come on consistently. You will need to look closely at the switch connection.
Considering these issues, I am selling the viewer as-is
The viewer comes in original box (not in great condition, but OK).  It is stamped "red" at the bottom.  This viewer can in at least two color variations (maybe more).
